The 14th January 2023 marks 25 years since the entry into force of the Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the signature of the Environmental Protocol in 1991, in October 2021 Professor Klaus Dodds reported on the diplomatic negotiations which led to the Protocol.
